First, we get to know your child
What brings you to Freedom Martial Arts? Maybe you want your child to speak up a little more, stick with something when it gets hard, or feel comfortable in a new group. We want to hear about it. Knowing your child and what matters to your family helps our instructors find a good place to start.
We make room for a small first win
Joining the activity, answering a question, or trying a new movement can be a big step. Our age-specific classes give children a challenge that fits their stage, and our instructors break skills into smaller pieces. Your child can take part while they are still figuring things out.
We notice the effort behind the moment
When a student keeps trying, asks for help, or encourages a partner, we tell them what we noticed. We want them to feel proud of the choices they made. A stripe or a new belt is exciting, and the little wins that lead there deserve encouragement, too.
The life skills are part of the class
Listening to an instructor, waiting for a turn, using care with a partner, and trying again all happen alongside the martial arts. Our team helps students practice those habits in the moment. They get a chance to learn by doing, with someone there to guide them.
We keep your family in the conversation
You see parts of your child’s day that we don’t. Tell us what is going well and where they could use some encouragement. Whether it is a quiet answer becoming a little louder or a new willingness to try, we want to hear about it and keep building from there with you.
Take the next step at your own pace.
Come meet our team, tell us what matters to your family, and experience a complimentary first class.
